Last updated 28 October 2026
- We collect only what we need to run Guidenest and to tell waitlist members about it.
- We don't sell your data, and we don't use your documents to train AI.
- This website uses no advertising or tracking cookies.
- Email hello@guidenest.app to see, change or delete your data.
1. Who is responsible
Guidenest is operated by Sergio Franco, an individual based in Colombia, who is the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: hello@guidenest.app.
When a customer uploads documents to Guidenest, the customer controls that content and we process it on their behalf, as a data processor.
2. What we collect and why
| Data | Why | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Waitlist: your email, and optionally what you would convert and your team size | To invite you to early access | Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time |
| Account: name, email, company domain, sign-in details | To create your account and let readers sign in | Performing our contract with you |
| Content you upload: documents, manual text, images | To build, host and update your manual sites | Performing our contract (we act for the customer) |
| Billing: handled by Paddle; we see your name, email, country and what you bought, never your full card details | To provide what you paid for and keep accounting records | Contract and legal obligations |
| Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages requested, error logs | To keep the Service secure and working | Our legitimate interest in running a secure service |
| Emails you send us | To answer you | Our legitimate interest in replying |
3. Who processes data for us
We use a small number of service providers, each bound by data protection terms:
- Cloudflare (USA, global network): hosting of this website, the app and manual sites, and storage of the waitlist.
- Paddle (UK): payments, invoices and tax, as merchant of record.
- Google (USA): email for hello@guidenest.app, and Google sign-in and Google Docs import when you choose to use them.
- Supabase (servers in Frankfurt, Germany): the app database, once the app launches.
- Anthropic (USA): AI processing of document text for AI features, under terms that do not allow training on your content.
Some providers are outside your country, including in the USA. Where the GDPR applies, transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
4. Cookies
This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies. The app will use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in. If we ever add optional cookies, we will ask first.
5. How long we keep data
- Waitlist entries: until you ask us to remove them, or 24 months after the waitlist closes.
- Account data and content: while your account is open, then deleted within 30 days of closing it.
- Billing records: as long as tax law requires (Paddle keeps its own records).
- Technical logs: up to 30 days.
6. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal data, object to or limit how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time. These rights come from the GDPR where it applies and from Colombia's data protection law (Ley 1581 de 2012, habeas data). Email hello@guidenest.app and we will reply within 15 business days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority, or in Colombia to the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest with our providers. Access to manuals is limited by role and audience, and we keep access to customer data to what is needed to support you.
8. Children
Guidenest is a business tool and is not meant for children under 16.
9. Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and email account holders about important changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
